McLaren Applied

McLaren Applied are the technology arm of the McLaren Group with a wide stretching portfolio across multiple industries. I was tasked to create a series of videos covering the three main Technical Pillars of the business - Electrification, Telematics & Virtual Product Development.

Each of the films required showcasing both physical and digital products that the company makes, as well as the industries they’re used in. Throughout the development stage of the project I was able to define a creative concept in which each film establishes its own identity through a ‘digital element’ to represent data, unlimited capability and future vision. I also created a brand identity for the film series to tie them together as a family, and nod towards the other companies in the McLaren family - McLaren Racing & McLaren Automotive.

 

Virtual Product Development

Virtual Product Development looks at the software side of the company and the ability to play out millions of scenarios digitally before deciding on a route for a business or product. Visualising a data cloud and different transport industries was an important part of creating this film in the series.

Telematics, Control & Analytics

The Telematics, Control and Analytics pillar of the business focuses on the acquisition and processing of information from vehicles to subsequently adjust and control performance in real time. McLaren Applied provides control units, sensors and software across multiple motorsport series’, as well as applications in industry.
